Before you use your cream :

* Only use the cream on cold sores on your lips and face. Do not use the cream inside your mouth. Zovirax should not be used to treat mouth ulcers.
If you are in any doubt whether your sore is a cold sore, consult your doctor

* If you have ever had an allergic reaction to aciclovir or any of the ingredients, consult your pharmacist or doctor before using your cream

* Do not use Zovirax Cold Sore Cream for herpes infections of the eye or the genital area

* If you cold sore is, or becomes, very severe you should consult your doctor

* Do not use Zovirax Cold Sore Cream if you are under the care of a doctor because of a weak immune system (i.e. your ability to fight infections is reduced)

Many cold sore sufferers can recognise when they are about to get a cold sore, e.g. tingling, itching

When used at the tingle stage Zovirax Cold Sore Cream may stop a cold sore from appearing

If the blister does appear, using the cream can speed up the healing process

After using your cream :

This cream has been prescribed to millions of people by doctors, and is normally well tolerated. However, some people may get the following :-

A mild burning for stinging may sometimes occur directly after application, but this will quickly go away

Occasionally, redness, itching or a mild drying or flaking of the skin may occur. This does not prevent the cream from working

Rarely an allergic skin reaction may develop

If in doubt, of if these side effects become troublesome, stop the treatment and consult your pharmacist or doctor

Remember - Cold Sores are Infectious

The virus is capable of infecting other parts of the body. To reduce the risk of passing the infection on, do not allow others to touch your cold sore, or to share your towel, etc. You should avoid kissing and oral sex if you or your partner has an active cold sore.
Always wash your hands before and after touching cold sores.

* Avoid touching your eyes. HSV infection of the eye can lead to ulcers on the window of the eye (cornea)

* Avoid kissing - especially children - when you have a cold sore

* Avoid breaking the blisters and picking the scabs. Not only could you infect your cold sore with other germs, you may infect your fingers with the virus

* Avoid sharing your eating and drinking utensils

For orders placed after 12 noon Monday to Friday, and anytime at weekends, we would aim to dispatch the following working day (Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays).

International Orders

Allcures does ship overseas, but decisions are made on a per-order basis. The delivery charge will depend on the size and weight of the parcel.

Most orders will be sent by Royal Mail Air Mail ‘International Signed For’ post – a signature will be required on receipt. Alternatively, heavy parcels will be sent by DPD or Fedex within Europe, again a signature will be required on delivery.

Deliveries to the Republic of Ireland are classified as Air Mail by Royal Mail and DPD or Fedex and are subject to different tariffs. You will be contacted by Customer Services on Air Mail delivery charges.

We use several carrier companies, including Royal Mail, DPD and Fedex.

When ordering goods from Allcures for delivery overseas you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, please note that when ordering from Allcures, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.

Returns

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact our Customer Services at customercare@allcures.com or by telephone on +44(0)1708 859750 stating the items you wish to return, name and contact details, within 30 days. Return the goods to us in the exact condition in which they were delivered. Certain items cannot be refunded or exchanged unless faulty or sent incorrectly: for instance condoms, medicines or foods. We recommend using Recorded Delivery when returning products. Your statutory rights will not be affected. If we are in error we will refund the delivery charges.

Payment

You can pay online using our credit and debit card secure payment scheme. Payments are processed by SagePay. A list of the cards which we accept is shown on the checkout page as well as on the bottom of all pages.  Allcures has also implemented Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode also known collectively as 3D Secure, both of these schemes require the card holder to provide a password which is authenticated with their servers, before we can proceed with the payment process. A form will popup on the screen asking you to autheticate using a password. If you have not already enrolled you will be asked to enroll in the service.
