Hydromol® Ointment – for the management of eczema, psoriasis and other dry skin conditions. Hydromol Ointment is an all-purpose emollient used to moisturise and soften dry skin. It can be used as an ointment, as a bath additive and as an alternative to soap. Hydromol Ointment contains no fragrances, colourings, additives or preservatives. It is suitable for use in all ages.
Warnings and precautions: Do not use Hydromol Ointment if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of its ingredients. If your condition worsens or you experience any undesirable effects, stop using Hydromol Ointment and consult your doctor, nurse or pharmacist.
Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Patients using large quantities of any paraffin based product, such as Hydromol Ointment, should regularly change clothing or bedding impregnated with the product and keep away from nakid flames as there is a fire hazard.
For external use only. Do not use the product after the expiry date. Do not use if the package has been damaged or opened. Keep in the original container and replace lid after use. Dispose of responsibly according to official regulations
All-purpose emollient – Apply to the affected area with a smooth stroking action in the direction of hair growth. Use liberally as often as required. Ensure hands are clean before applying
Bath additive – Melt Hydromol Ointment in warm water in a suitable container, add mixture to the bath. Care should be taken as Hydromol Ointment will make the surface of the bath slippery.
Soap substitute – Use as required when washing. Always take special care when using emollients after bathing; this may present an increased risk of slipping and falling.
Cetomacrogol emulsifying wax (contains cetostearyl alcohol and macrogol cetostearyl ether), yellow soft paraffin and liquid paraffin.
