Pholcodine Linctus is a cough suppressant
Interaction Precautions :
Not recommended for children under 5 years of age.
Use with caution if elderly
Not advisable for use with productive coughs or in bronchitis
Do not use if you are sensitive to any ingredient, or if suffering from liver disease or asthma. Never give to children under 1 year, or use when pregnant or breast feeding, except on the doctor's advice. Ask your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have a head injury or are epileptic, are alcoholic or already taking any of the following drugs : alcohol, mexiletine, domperidone, metoclopramide, tranquillizers or sleeping aids.
Also if taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI's) or within 2 weeks of stopping their use.
Contains sucrose and colours. Unsuitable for those with hereditary fructose intolerance, glucose-galatose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase-isomaltase deficfiency.
Colours can cause allergic reactions and asthma, especially if you are also allergic to aspirin.
If you accidentally take too much, see a doctor straight away
Side effects :
Some people may experience side effects which are : drowsiness, dizziness, nausea and constipation. If drowsy do not drive.
If you notice any of these or other side effects stop using the product and tell your doctor or pharmacist
Do not use after the expiry date

Store below 25
For Oral Use :
Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years : Take 1 or 2 x 5ml spoonfuls
Children 5 - 12 years : Take 1 x 5ml spoonfuls
Repeat after 4 hours if required, but not more than 4 doses in 24 hours
