Hydrogen Peroxide is a disinfectant and deodorant. It kills bacteria by releasing oxygen when in contact with body tissues
For skin disinfection
Adults, the elderly and children :
Dress the wound with cotton wool soaked in the peroxide.
As a mouthwash and gargle :
Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years :
Dilute one part peroxide to three parts of water. Rinse the mouth for 2 to 3 minutes - Repeat up to 3 times a day.
Interaction Precautions :
For external use only.
Not recommended for children under 12 years as a gargle and mouthwash unless on the doctor's advice.
Do not use if you are sensitive to any ingredient or when pregnant or breast feeding except on the doctor's advice.
If you accidentally swallow some see a doctor straight away.
Do not use after the expiry date.
Side Effects :
Strong solutions of hydrogen peroxide may cause irritating burns on the skin, and other soft tissues of the body producing a white patch of dead tissue. The pain will disappear after about 1 hour.
Continual use as a mouthwash may cause a temporary swelling of the tongue.
If you notice this or any other side effects stop using the product and tell your doctor or pharmacist.
