Rapid relief from mouth ulcers, teething pains and denture irritation.
Anbesol Liquid is used for temporary relief of pain caused by recurrent mouth ulcers, denture irritation and teething.
If you are sensitive to any of the above ingredients, you should not take this medicine without consulting your doctor or a pharmacist.
If symptoms persist for more than seven days, consult your doctor or dentist. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children. Do not exceed the stated dose.
If you take more than the recommended dose it would not be expected to cause adverse effects unless a very large amount were taken, in which case you should tell your doctor or pharmacist.
Unwanted side effects may include ulceration, in which case you should stop using the product.
If you notice any other unwanted effect, you should inform your doctor or pharmacist.
Adults, children and the elderly
Apply Anbesol undiluted to the effected area with fingertip.
Two applications immediately will normally be sufficient to obtain pain relief. Use up to eight times a day.
Babies teething :
Wet a clean fingertip with Anbesol and spread gently onto the sore area of the gum. One application will be sufficient. Do not repeat the application for at least half an hour. Use up to eight times a day.
Anbesol liquid contains the following active ingredients: Lidocaine Hydrochloride Ph Eur 0.9% w/w, Chlorocresol Ph Eur 0.1% w/w, Cetylpyridinium Chloride Ph Eur 0.02% w/w.
Also contains: Alcohol 96% BP, Menthol BP, Glycerin Ph Eur, Purified Water Ph Eur, Colours E104, E110, E123, E142.
Lidocaine Hydrochloride is a local anaesthetic, Chlorocresol and Cetylpyridinium Chloride have antiseptic properties.
